Actually the weather was iffy. Thank goodness MWAUTOPRO had a really nice building for us to work it. It rained, then the sun came out, then it rained while the sun was shining, then it got dark with clouds and rain, then the sun came out...LOL A detail angel brought us pulled pork, ribs, baked beans, chips, salsa, and soda.
We had to keep our eye on MWAUTOPRO though, were worried that he was going to drink some wheel cleaner. Kind of an inside joke as he told us that he was siphoning out some wheel cleaner to a smaller bottle and accidentally got some in his mouth. I think it had hydrochloric acid in it or something. That was one of the many running jokes for the afternoon.
Great pic's and also it's great when one can have a meet to meet and p/u tips from everyone, bet you all have a great time!:applause2:
It was awesome. I'm probably going to spend quite a few bucks here soon. Gotta figure out what backing plate I want to go with the Makita I'm going to pick up. I'm probably going to order some more pads too. I have to admit it was hard to put the rotary down once I started using it.
I think it was a good time for all. It's really great to get together with people from this group and put a face with a name. Even though I didn't know everybody there at first, it was still very comfortable and just felt like being with friends and family.
Ah, that made me laugh and reminded me of how much fun I had on Sunday. I took a little heat from mama but it was worth it. we need to do this again in a few months. And maybe somebody will have Sonus pads in stock the next time...cough, cough... BTW, I ordered a Flex 3403 from DD earlier today with the fancy 3M BP to boot.
So does this mean that you no longer need your Meguires BP any longer? I have to admit I laughed as I was making the video for internet viewing. The major thing we learned is to stand up when drying the pads.
Oh, that's right, you have that. Well, I should probably pick it up from you sooner or later. Not sure if you were using it on the Makita, but if you were, and wanted it for when you get your Makita (wink, wink), I'm sure we can figure something out. BTW, how did your buddy like the final outcome on the GTO?
Yes it was on the Makita I was using. Yes, he said he got rained on as he was heading home, and the car dried without any water spots. He's amazed. Now I've gotta get him to pick up a few products and he'll be well on his way.
LOL, I never thought I'd make it to YouTube! Oh, one thing about that pad...it was still too wet to use even after drying. I'd be thinking I was breaking down the SIP and all of a sudden there was water all over.
Fold a microfiber over the pad and give it a good squeeze. You can get them nearly perfectly dry by doing that.
