Might be a repost but I couldn't find it in a quick search

Study: Women less likely to keep cars clean

Would you agree with the findings?

This might be possible in the UK, I don't know.

I am in Montreal, Canada and there are a LOT of "business women" here (too much for my liking actually) and from what I've seen, they tend to keep their cars cleaner than the "business men." However, they are more inclined to using car washes. I will add that most of my clients are men, though. On a general standpoint though, most people just don't wash their cars like they should.

I would agree, at least if those moms have kids...especially young ones. I detailed a few vans over the summer that probably hadn't been cleaned in 2 or 3 years, and I know there's more like that everywhere.

Singles ladies tend to keep their cars clean ... moms usually don't have the time to take care of a vehicle.

I always try to keep my wife's car clean, but it's a lost cause. Most of the time it's her that trashes the car and not my daughter.

In most of the females cars (both single and married w/kids) I've been in or even looked at, the interiors are never tended to, except the occasional shovel-out-the-garbage cleaning. The back seat foot wells are usually a trash can. The guys on the other hand, are messy in a different way. Most the guys I know clutter their cars with things they use (ei. papers, books, tools, etc...). Most the people I know rarely wash the outsides lol. Only a select few of my friends actually care about how their cars look, in and out. And they are guys.

I would agree with these findings. most women that are Moms do not have time to take care of the car. even the single women ( with the exception of a few ) seem to not think of the car as a place that needs to be maintained more than once or twice a year. the women that have detailed for do have a spotless house that must really take a long time to keep that clean. it seems that most of them view their house as a reflection of themselves more so than their car . we can say the same of men also. some guys have a clean car but the house is not their priority..... go figure

I think it may be a location thing. Here in a big city, people don't see your house since it's mostly apartments and the houses are in the outskirts. So if people can't show off their homes to represent themselves, the next biggest investment is the car, so they seem to show that off. At least from what I've seen. To me, all that is just showing how fake some people can be...everything you own should represent you, not just the things that will make people "ooh" and "aw." Just like you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes, you can tell a lot by how they treat their belongings in general. Clean car + dirty house + dirty land = "looky at my shiny car, so much betterz than y0res, I'm teh specialz, gnaaaaa"

(I'm just irritated right now :p)

Wives would figure strongly in these statistics.
